I am currently working on an ongoing project, to showcase Women within the arts. Through networking, meeting, interviews and attending events, I am gathering footage and sound to make both an online, live archive, and a documentary, with the sole aim to celebrate the array of talents, powers and beauty encompassed within our energies, whilst simultaneously raising awareness, educating, and giving these women an increased platform for their voices. My aim is to build a new, thriving community, filled with connection and empowerment.

My short film surrounds my dad, who has Parkinson's Disease. The statistic for getting Parkinson's is 1 in 500, the video is made up of 500 structural cuts, to demonstrate that he is that 1 in 500. The piece is played as one long conversation with my dad over the phone, consisting of talks about his early childhood, his career as a Silversmith, and finally his diagnosis. I filmed all the footage on a Hi8 8mm Canon Tape Camcorder, and it consists of himself, his family photographs and his workshop.
